Revolutionary Hope In Our Struggle Against Aging

MD Peel offers a safe, gentle procedure to counter the effects of aging and help turn back the sands of time. Improve the appearance of sun damage, fine line wrinkles, age spots, and soften superficial blemishes and acne scarring from the very first treatment.

Look and Feel Your Best

Microdermabrasion treatments are performed by highly trained clinical care specialists and are quickly becoming one of the most sought after aesthetic procedures. The procedure is relatively easy and painless. Some patients compare the sensation to that of a cat licking their face, while others describe it as a refreshing tingling feeling. Treatments can be performed on all parts of your body including the face, neck, hands and chest.

Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy!

During a treatment, the patented hand piece gently traces over your skin, delivering micro crystals that gently exfoliate the epidermis. Simultaneously, a vacuum whisks away the exfoliated skin and excess crystal, leaving your face instantly smoother. The treatment takes between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the body area you want treated.

Collagen producing cells in your skin are called fibroblasts. When stimulated by exfoliation they go into a repair mode, promoting a new “younger” layer of skin.

The Outcome . . . A New and Younger You

Outcomes vary depending on your age, skin type and condition. During your initial consultation the clinical care specialist will evaluate your skin type, qualify your expectations, and recommend a personalized treatment plan. The rejuvenated, smooth and softened appearance of your skin is visible from your very first treatment. Typically a series of 4 to 10 treatments, followed by a maintenance program, is required to reach and sustain the desired goal.

Microdermabrasion FAQ

What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion has been FDA approved since 1997. This technique uses a delicate tubular hand-piece through which air is circulated through small hoses to force a stream of small abrasive particles that “sand” the surface of the skin. This gentle type of skin exfoliation causes the top dead skin layers to be removed. The results are equivalent to superficial glycolic peels. According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 2001 statistics, microdermabrasion was the 4th most requested cosmetic treatment. And because microdermabrasion remains one of the most affordable treatments it has become the most popular facial rejuvenation procedure in the world.

What improvement can microdermabrasion treatments make?
A series of microdermabrasion peels can improve: scarring, fine lines, moderate wrinkles, pigmentation problems, uneven tones and dull lifeless and sun damaged skin. This system works extremely well for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, most types of scars, hyper-pigmentation, active acne, stretch marks and generally, rough, dry and dull skin. The treatment can usually work on all skin types and requires no anesthesia. The removal of the skin layers by a microdermabrater triggers the production of new, fresher skin faster than normal.

Will there be any discomfort during the treatments?
The treatment is neither uncomfortable nor painful. The experience can be compared to a mild scratching sensation as in an emery board lightly passing along the surface of the skin. Slight redness will last for about a ˝ hour to one day depending on the individual.

How many microdermabrasion treatments are recommended?
A typical series of 5 – 10 microdermabrasion treatments are scheduled. The appointments are taylored to each clients individual needs.

Is there special care of the skin before, during and after treatments?
While there is no requirement of special skin care before your initial microdermabrasion treatment, most professionals use special skin care products specifically designed for microdermabrasion immediately after treatments and to protect skin; especially sun screen since the fresh skin is more sensitive.
