Information and Education

The physicians and staff of Eye Life Institute are dedicated to providing you with the best eye care and facial enhancement services. Education, prevention, and follow-up are an important part of this goal.

Free cataract, glaucoma, and vision screening is offered free of charge throughout Butte County. Call for information about the next event. Free screenings are also available at our offices any time during office hours. Just stop by for this valuable service.

Educational Seminars ~ Dr. Niswonger and the staff at Eye Life Institute believe in sharing their medical knowledge. Members of our staff are available to speak with your club, community organization, or business regarding any aspect of eye care. Our presentations are free of charge and include general information on vision care as well as medical updates on cataracts, lens implants, laser surgery, LASIK, and contact lenses or glasses.

Professional Education ~ Eye Life Institute also holds classes designed for medical personnel interested in learning more about ophthalmology. These classes qualify for continuing education credit with the Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) and the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). They are usually held the third Thursday of the month from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in our Paradise Office. For more information call (530) 877-2020.

Optometric Seminars ~ Eye Life Institute conducts biannual seminars for area Optometrists. Other medical personnel are welcome. Classes are free of charge. Call or e-mail us for information on the next scheduled topic. (530) 877-2020 ~ eyecare@eyelife.net.
